Pre & Post Care Recommendations
Setting the foundation for exceptional results
If you have questions about the aftercare process, please connect with your provider for more guidance.
Microneedling Pre-Care
-
Avoid Certain Products and Treatments: Discontinue use of retinoids, exfoliating agents, and products containing acids (like AHA, BHA) at least 48 hours before your treatment. At least 1 week for prescription or medical grade exfoliating topicals. Avoid any procedures that may irritate the skin for 1 week prior (e.g., waxing, depilatories). If you have received Botox in the last 14 days, please reschedule.
-
Sun Exposure: Minimize sun exposure and do not use tanning beds for at least one week before treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.
-
Skin Condition: Ensure your skin is free from inflammation, infections, eczema, or active cold sores. Reschedule your appointment if any of these conditions are present.
-
Medications: Inform your provider if you are taking any medication, especially those that affect blood clotting (like aspirin or ibuprofen), Accutane, or immune suppressants.
-
Hydration: Hydrate well the day before and the day of your treatment for optimal skin condition.
Microneedling Post-Care
Immediately After Treatment:
Skin Sensitivity: Your skin may appear red and feel sensitive similar to a mild sunburn. This is normal and will subside within a few hours to days.
Hydration: Use a gentle moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. Use as needed.
For the Next 24-48 Hours:
Avoid Heat: No hot baths, saunas, or excessive heat and sweat-inducing activities.
Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 or higher and reapply as necessary.
No Makeup: Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours to allow the skin to heal.
Following Days:
Skincare Products: Resume gentle skincare products as recommended by your provider after 48 hours.
Continue avoiding products containing irritants like acids and retinoids for a week.
Chemical Peel Pre-Care
-
Ask if we recommend a pre-care routine in order to precondition your skin prior to treatment to ensure best results. Patients who have strong, pre-conditioned, and tolerant skin tend not to be sensitive in sensation levels, allowing for a more advanced treatment (best results) while remaining comfortable.
-
Avoid Certain Products and Treatments: Discontinue use of retinoids, exfoliating agents, and products containing acids (like AHA, BHA) at least 5-7 days before your treatment. Avoid prescription and medical grade topical exfoliants for at least 1 week. Avoid any procedures that may irritate the skin for 1 week prior (e.g., waxing, depilatories). If you have received Botox in the last 14 days, please reschedule.
-
Reduce alcohol intake 24 hours before your chemical peel. Alcohol increases heat and inflammation in the skin which could lead to sensitivities during the treatment.
-
Sun Exposure: Minimize sun exposure and do not use tanning beds for at least one week before treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.
-
Skin Condition: Ensure your skin is free from inflammation, infections, eczema, or cold sores. Reschedule your appointment if any of these conditions are present.
-
Medications: Inform your provider if you are taking any medication, especially those that affect blood clotting (like aspirin or ibuprofen), Accutane or immune suppressants.
-
Hydration: Hydrate well the day before and the day of your treatment for optimal skin condition.
Chemical Peel Post-Care
-
Following your chemical peel, it is important to keep the skin hydrated, wear a broad-spectrum SPF daily, and avoid excessive heat, sweating, swimming, and direct sun exposure for the recommended period.
-
Clients should also avoid active skincare ingredients such as retinol, prescription vitamin A products, exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs), benzoyl peroxide, vitamin C, and physical scrubs for 1 week, or until advised that it is safe to resume use.
-
Following your personalized aftercare instructions will help ensure optimal healing, protect your skin barrier, and maximize your results. For clients receiving more advanced peel treatments, a complimentary luxury post-care kit is included, featuring carefully selected products and recovery essentials to support your skin throughout the healing process.
Pre-Care
For best results, please arrive with clean lashes free of makeup, mascara, oils, and lash growth serums. Contact lenses should be removed prior to your appointment. If you have recently had eye surgery, an eye infection, or irritation around the eye area, please notify your provider before booking.
After-Care
For the first 24 hours following your lash lift and tint, avoid getting your lashes wet and avoid steam, saunas, hot yoga, swimming, excessive sweating, eye makeup, and oil-based products around the eye area. Do not rub or sleep directly on your lashes during this time.
After the initial 24-hour period, you may resume your normal routine. Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle.
Pre-Care
Please arrive with clean brows free of makeup, oils, heavy skincare products, and self-tanner in the brow area. Avoid exfoliating, retinol, or active skincare products on the brow area for 24–48 hours prior to your appointment. If you have any irritation, cuts, or sensitivity around the brow area, please reschedule your appointment.
Post-Care
For the first 24 hours following your brow lamination, avoid getting your brows wet, as well as steam, saunas, swimming, sweating, and applying makeup or skincare directly to the brow area. Avoid touching, brushing, or manipulating the brows during this time while the shape sets.
After 24 hours, you can resume normal activities. To maintain softness, hydration, and the health of the brow hairs, a nourishing brow oil or conditioning serum is recommended. Results typically last 6–8 weeks depending on hair type and aftercare.
Pre-Care
Please ensure you eat a light meal or snack before your appointment, as you will only be able to consume water for the first hour following your treatment. It is also recommended to brush and floss prior to your appointment and arrive with clean teeth.
Post-Care
For the best possible results, please avoid all staining agents for 24–48 hours following your treatment, including coffee, tea, red wine, dark pop, berries, tomato-based sauces, and smoking. During this time, your teeth are more porous and more susceptible to staining, especially within the first 24 hours.
You may only consume water for the first hour after your appointment. After this, for 24-48 hours, stick to “white diet” foods such as plain chicken, rice, pasta, dairy, and other non-pigmented foods to help protect your results.
Following your aftercare instructions carefully will help maximize your results and maintain a long-lasting brighter smile.
